Robert Drasnin
For guests of Hukilau 2005, there was a performance by Robert Drasnin that they will never forget. Hukilau made history as the first time since 1959, Drasnin's album Voodoo was played in it's entirety. Voodoo has become one of the most sought after and influential albums of the Exotica genre and has achieved amazing cult status.

We are so proud to announce that Hukilau will make history once again by having an encore performance by Robert Drasnin in 2007. This performance will feature his long awaited follow up to Voodoo, Voodoo II - this will mark the first time this album is played live. An orchestra of 11 individuals, including several members of Clouseaux and carefully selected musicians in South Florida, will accompany Mr. Drasnin. This is sure to be another memorable moment for everyone that attends.

There is actually a way that you can help in the making of Voodoo II CLICK HERE to view the details.

The Crazed Mugs
The Crazed Mugs, nominated for a 2006 Hawaiian Music Award, are quite simply the band you will walk away remembering from 2007. The Crazed Mugs are a Tampa group that plays Tiki Music, setting the tropical mood with their odd blend of Hawai'ian classics, Hapa Haole and original songs that range from the absurd to the sublime.

The Crazed Mugs are currently in the studio recording their second CD, "I've Lowered My Sails" featuring players such as Evan Simmons on vibes, Jeff Berlin on bass, Kanekila on steel guitar, Jon Richardson on percussion and introducing the newest member of The Mugs, "Hot Lava"!

Waitiki
WAITIKI got its start in the lounge scene with the exotic tiki fare of Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman, and Les Baxter — the "chiefs" of the style, which peaked in the 1950s and 1960s. WAITIKI seeks to keep these flavors of Polynesia alive at events and clubs everywhere, having performed twice at the Hukilau Festival, the Hawai'i International Jazz Festival, in Mexico, and all over the Northeast USA. In 2007, WAITIKI's debut album, "Charred Mammal Flesh: Exotic Music for BBQ" became the first exotica album to win a Hawaii Music Award. WAITIKI is also known for its original arrangements of music by Juan Garcia Esquivel, Alfred Apaka, and Mel Heinke. Watch for WAITIKI's second album, "Rendezvous in Okonkuluku," which will be released in mid-2007.
