Please read the following prior to purchase!

You will receive a separate invoice for shipping and sales tax to your destination once the mugs & pendants have reached Florida - we will have additional merchandise available in the coming weeks so that you can combine your shipping all at once.

All orders that come in after July 7, 2008 will ship after July 23, 2008.

Hukilau 2008 Munktiki Mug

Just as the last 2 years, Munktiki has created another incredible mug - this years based on one of the Tikis that face the busy slice of US1 at the entrance of the Mai-Kai. When he was placed there is unknown but from the looks of the photo below he's been there just after the very beginning. You can see how lush the Bora Bora Room was in the background (at that time it was the gift shop).

Here he stands today, still with us, again with what remains of the roof line from Bora Bora. He's missing part of his arm but is still quite the commanding figure as he welcomes each guest to the Mai-Kai. He was painted at some point in the 1970's.

The Hukilau 2008 Munktiki mug pays tribute to this survivor of the glory days of Tiki. And just as the Tiki itself has seen variations in color over the years, this years mug will vary in glaze hues, making each one completely different from one another.

Made by our friends at City Buddha, whom can also be seen during our Tiki Treasures Bazaar, each pendant was hand carved in Bali within a small village. The pendant is also based off of the same Tiki above.
